As Receptionist, your role is to support the Chamber team as well as its members, who make up the Greater Boston areas business community. You will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for maintaining the reception and member/event space, as well as managing the phone system, incoming inquiries, incoming and outgoing mail, and the overall visitor experience. You will also assist with various office related projects. This role was designed for a true team player.





-Greet all visitors and members in a courteous and professional manner.

-Monitor the lobby system for visitor access to the Chamber office.

-Operate a multi-line telephone console answering and directing all calls.

-Refer Chamber members for incoming inquiries regarding products and services.

-Oversee all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

-Forward mailed student and tourist requests to the appropriate organizations.

-Manage the Public Information email inbox replying to all questions and inquiries.

-Assist with requests for Certificates of Origin and file copies.



-Maintain a fully stocked supply closet, mail room, and break room.

-Assist with scheduling and reserving the Member space for larger meetings and events both internal and external.

-Update the team calendar in the Boston conference room regularly.

-Order and setup for office meetings and events.

-Arrive early for setup on days when we have breakfast meetings and events.

-Assist with committee meeting and member tracking in Chamber Master.

-Setup new hires prior to their arrival.



REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of reception or equivalent experience working successfully with customers and/or the general public. Knowledge of Boston and the area is very helpful.
